Notes
BiFVO 2005 last amended 27 Jan 2011 – confirmed as latest amendment by the LALLF legal list (page updated 05.10.2026). Inland waters: no state closed season for Hecht/Zander in BiFVO. Coastal waters (KüFVO, not covered here) differ; LALLF order of 4 May 2026 bans eel fishing for recreational anglers in coastal waters for all of 2026. Licence vs permit: the Fischereischein is a personal, state-issued licence; the Fischereierlaubnis/Angelkarte is a separate permit sold by the owner or tenant of a specific water. You normally need both. Local waters (club/lease rules, Hegeplan, local orders) may be stricter; the conditions on your water permit always apply on top of state law.
